I had the pleasure of spending time with two book groups this weekend. Thanks for having me, ladies–and gentleman.
An Oakland book group. More homemade cookies, more wine. These women knew my book better than I did! We had a great discussion about class issues, addiction, astronomy, Oakland vs. San Francisco, etc. Thanks for having me!
Met with this lovely group in San Francisco. We met in a group member’s office building in the financial district. Wine, cheese, homemade cookies. FUN.

How do you know you’ve arrived as a writer?
How do you move through fear when writing?
When do you write for you and when do you write for the reader?

My big dream is that Hollywood will come calling and one, or more of my novels will be made into a movie. Until then, here’s a fun interview where I list my dream cast for the movie version of Shake Down The Stars. I had a hard time with Piper. I’m now thinking Kerry Washington as Piper?
What do you think?
My Book: The Movie:
